The incredibly dense downtown core, packed with massive oil and gas skyscrapers, sits at the direct, violent geological intersection where the vast prairie plains abruptly crash into the colossal, snow-capped Canadian Rockies. The stunning, icy-blue glacial waters of the Bow River cut a fast, snaking path right through the middle of the CBD.

A custom map poster of Calgary, Canada turns a meaningful location into personalized wall art — completely free with MapPoster.
Famous for the completely insane, city-wide 10-day cowboy party of the Calgary Stampede and the intensely roaring 'C of Red' supporting the Flames at the Saddledome. Deep, incredibly icy glacial blue, stark, imposing mountain grey, or a rich, blazing prairie-fire red expertly capture the rugged, high-altitude ambition of Alberta.
