We only collect the absolute minimum information required to operate MapPoster. We do not require you to create an account to use the map generator.
- Payment Information: If you purchase a high-resolution export, your payment is processed securely by Paddle, our merchant of record. Payments for printed posters are processed by Stripe. We do not store or process your credit card numbers on our servers.
- Analytics and Ads: We may use third-party services like Google AdSense and Google Analytics to monitor usage and display targeted advertisements. These services may use cookies or similar tracking technologies to collect anonymized usage data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our Service.
- Process your premium export payments securely.
- Serve relevant advertisements to support the free tier of the application.
- Analyze usage trends to improve the user experience.
3. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.
4. Your Data and Images
The map images you generate are created entirely within your web browser using HTML5 Canvas technology. We do not save, store, or transmit your generated map posters to our servers. The final high-resolution or 1080p image is downloaded directly to your device.
5. Pinterest API
Mapposter uses the Pinterest API to publish and manage content on our own Pinterest account. Site visitors and customers do not connect Pinterest accounts to Mapposter.
Mapposter is not endorsed by or affiliated with Pinterest, Inc.
We do not store Pinterest content on our servers beyond what is needed for an in-progress operation. The only items retained between sessions are the OAuth tokens for our own Pinterest account. If the integration is disconnected, these tokens and any cached Pinterest data are deleted within 30 days.
We do not sell or license data obtained from the Pinterest API to third parties, and we do not combine Pinterest API data with customer data.
